Hi Wedhro, I was investigating how it was possible for vandals to bypass our anti-spam filters and MediaWiki's own ratelimit system and I discovered that this was because users were being automatically promoted to "votanti" which has "autoconfirmed", this allows vandals to bypass MediaWiki's ratelimits and lets them spam fast.
